A WILD WEEK OF PLAYING CARDS

It has been a wild week of playing cards in my studio. I finally completed one full deck of altered playing cards for The 2016 International Card Deck Swap hosted by Jessica Brogan on Face book. All those cards will be flying out this week and once she works her Magic, I will get back a full deck with 52 different cards by a variety of creative individuals doing what they love.

I also played with some images and collage sheets from Reto Cafe Art Gallery and I am very pleased how these playing cards turned out as well. Retro Cafe has a great variety of heads/faces  and awesome collage sheets that worked perfect for these cards.

I am now finishing up a second deck that I made for myself. I may trade a few, have some cards printed with them, and maybe frame a few for small gifts. They were great fun to make and I can't wait to see the cards I get back in return. This is my type of card game, wild and fun, high energy, and no one loses!

Thanks for stopping by ~ I wish you a happy creative week and maybe some card games in your future!

    1. Hi Jackie!
Yes! you definitely need to play next time! If you don't want to do a full deck with the International Deck swap, there are always just smaller swaps from time to time. I love making the cards, they are always a lot of fun! We will have to do a swap sometime!!

    1. Neither actually. I have never tried the packing tape and I am not a fan of Mod Podge. I just lightly spray them with a good satin sealer. Thank you and glad you stopped in. I will be posting my second deck of cards soon and some Jumbo ones I have in the works! Pop in again to take a peek!

  3. How in the world dear Kim do you do it??? This would have taken me a YEAR - nope - that's not true... I am not sure I could have done it AT ALL. WOW. I am just blown away seeing all these. JUST INCREDIBLE and WONDERFUL and each one is FABULOUS. Wow. Xj.

    1. Joi,
I am very sure you could do it!! It would take me longer if I did each card individually. But when working with a lot of cards, I do each process and steps to all of them at the same time so that at the end all the cards are completed together. Each process is exciting because each card turns out totally different. I will be posting my second sete of cards here shortly, and I am current making and will be posting some Jumbo playing cards that I am making something exciting with. You will have to pop back in and take a peek!!! As always, thanks for stopping in and taking the time to comment!
      xoxo
